Ms. Stefanie Brown

I am Ms. Stefanie Brown, one of the members of the Fabulous Fifth Grade Team! This is currently my 27th year of teaching; with this being my 22nd year here at Bouie Theme School. In addition to 5th grade, I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade and Interrelated Special Education. I was also Bouie's 2009 Teacher of the Year!!!

I am a proud and devoted alumnus of Florida A&M University (FAMU), from where I graduated Cum Laude and received my B. S. in Elementary Education. Additionally, I received my Masters of Education in both Interrelated Special Education and Educational Leadership & Supervision from Georgia State University. I am also Gifted endorsed and have a minor in Spanish. What can I say? I love learning!!!

In my free time, I love to travel (I was a military child), attend & watch sporting events, spend time with my loved ones and simply enjoy life! I’m a huge Dallas Cowboys, Miami Heat, and FAMU Rattlers Fan…I can’t imagine life without sports! I also have amazing family and friends who I try to enjoy as often as possible! I lost my dad four years ago...a HUGE loss in my world, but I am also a proud daughter to an amazing mother. I truly cherish all of the family time that I am able to have with my family...Did I mention that my mom is one of seventeen children and I have over 100 1st cousins? Yes, my family is HUGE and I love it!!!

Teaching is my passion! I love seeing the "light bulb" come on as the children learn new things. Fifth Grade Social Studies and Math are such amazing subjects and I can't wait to see those "light bulbs" come on over the course of this school year! Though the past few years have been "different", I KNOW that everything will be wonderful and filled with excellence simply because EXCELLENCE IS A MUST...FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!
